The Show Must Go On

This will be the song of the day as the AFL is determined to have the league. This is despite the rest of the world is in fear and shock.
According to several AFL representatives, it is riskier not to have the AFL than it is to have it. They noted that without the AFL or footy, everything would be a disaster. Fine Aussies can love to play online casino games, but they love footy as well.

Additionally, several league teams, without the AFL season would have to close. As such, it was easier for them to have the AFL than not to have it.

For the sake of all the footy lovers and those who love to bet on the games. AFL CEO Gillian McLachlan was quoted to have said “but footy is resilient and footy will survive”

Therefore, viewers can look forward to the games taking place, however, they will not look like a standard 17-round season.

AFL Clubs Safety Measures

Although the AFL must go on, it does not mean that the players are oblivious to what is happening. As players flew in from their respective states, they were seen wearing masks. As much as they love footy, they also need to stay safe as well.

That is why, even before the decision was made for the league to continue, the players were asked if they want to be part of it or not. Because one cannot deny the fact that the coronavirus is growing in Australia.

It is no secret that there is growing concern over the virus spreading, that is why many are shocked as to how footy managed to survive. With so many people under quarantine and self-quarantine, how on earth did the AFL manage to survive and have the league as planned?

The Health Minister stated that they know that footy was struggling to survive and they had a talk with the Chief Medical Officer of Australia.

It was decided that as long there are less than 500 people at the public events, they could continue with the league. It was also stated there had to be under 100 people in a room at a time.

As long as the League stuck to these rules, they could have their games as planned as there would be no legal concerns.
